Pip McManus is a long term Alice Springs based artist working in the areas of public art design and production, art videos, installation art and ceramics. Her original training was in ceramics but she now works in mixed media employing whatever materials best suit the brief.
McManus is part of the design team awarded the 2015 Tracy Memorial Medal for the Alice Springs CBD Revitalisation. Other commissions include public sculptures, large scale entry signage and foyer design, public pathways, poster and CD graphics. In 2015 she also participated in the RHA Incubator Program and in the NT Two Seasons exhibition as part of the Australian Ceramics Triennial in Canberra. She have worked with Indigenous artists on the cultural centres at Uluru and Tenant Creek and has extensive experience in public art projects in Darwin. In 2014 she was the sole Australian artist invited to participate, with a video work, in the Taiwan Ceramics Biennale.
McManus was a Board member of the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory for six years and is a founding member of Watch This Space artists initiative in Alice Springs.
