A Safer Future – Free Community Event for the Royal Commission and Ochre Ribbon Campaign

A FREE community event for Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, and the Ochre Ribbon Campaign for the Prevention of Family Violence at Araluen Arts Centre on Thursday 25th 2015 from 10am to 2.00pm. The event will feature a performance from Australian Idol winner Casey Donovan as well as other local artists. There will also be presentations from Knowmore legal service, the independent legal service set up to navigate the Royal Commission, as well as from local service providers working in Central Australia. Presentations and performances will be followed by a light lunch in the Witchetty’s room at Araluen Arts Centre, which will give attendees a chance to mingle and speak with local service providers. Two private rooms will be set up for any attendee who wishes to have a private conversation with a local service provider, including counselling services.

Please be aware sensitive issues of child sexual abuse and domestic violence will be discussed at this event.
