Alice Springs Quilting Club Exhibition 2015

This is the 31st annual exhibition by the Alice Springs Quilting Club at the Araluen Arts Centre. The exhibition has become a well know fixture on the program, attesting to the continual development and evolution of works by Alice Springs Quilting Club members and the ongoing interest of viewers.

The vibrant work of dedicated and passionate quilters in Alice Springs is showcased though a diverse range of quilting applications and projects, demonstrating creative uses of colour, pattern, technique and workmanship that has been strengthened and expanded though a program of workshops by national and international tutors. Additionally, each year members are given a challenge to interpret and work on in secrecy: during the exhibition these Challenge Quilts are revealed. These labour-intensive, ambitious and intricate works aim to inspire audiences and to encourage them into the world of quilting.
