Let’s make parades great again
Red Hot Arts with support from the Alice Springs Town Council has joined forces with Henley on Todd to transform the spring parades of Central Australia.
Alice Springtime, the region’s spring shoulder season of Arts and Cultural experiences launches on Friday the 18th of August. Followed Saturday 19th with what will be a Spring parade bringing together the nationally unique revelry of Henley on Todd and the incredible community of Alice Springs to make an Instagram ready explosion of life and colour.
Your paid mission will be to work with a small team of experts, 4 schools and the students of 3-4 classes from July 25th to August 18th to deliver varied concepts within a defined overarching theme. There will be time prior to plan the magic you will shepherd to completion.
- Ability to conceive simple but effective costumes achievable by children aged 8-12
- Experience working with other artistic disciplines to deliver tight product
- Demonstrated skill in working with children to create art
- A belief in your ability to create authentic work that inspires others to deliver, experience and enjoin it
- Valid Ochre card
This contract position is 4 days a week and can be split between 2 artists depending on availability and capacity to create a range of unique audience experiences.
