Art Centre Manager Position

Tjungu Palya is a leading Aboriginal Art Centre located in Nyapari on the APY Lands, South Australia. We run a rigorous visual arts program each year and are seeking a passionate new Art Centre Manager to co-ordinate all aspects of our operation.

Reporting to the Executive Committee, the Manager will work closely with artists and directors to develop our arts program, manage our business, support the artistic and professional development of our artists, and promote the Art Centre locally, nationally and internationally through exhibitions, projects and prizes.

This is a unique opportunity for an arts professional who is ideas-driven and highly motivated. She/he will have management skills, together with a highly developed sense of aesthetics and experience in arts promotion or marketing. Respect for cross-cultural environments and an appreciation of contemporary Aboriginal art are required.

This is a full-time contract position based in Nyapari community. An attractive remote area salary package is available, including rent-free accommodation and salary sacrifice options. Job-share options for dual applicants are negotiable.
