Presented by Jenny Taylor, Creative in Residence at the Araluen Arts Centre

Open studio
Wednesday 25 October – Saturday 28 October, inclusive

11:00am –2:00pm each day

Jenny Taylor is 2017 Creative in Residence at Araluen Arts Centre. The residency program, funded by Arts NT, involves searching the Araluen collection for works which resonate with the artist’s chosen theme and making new work in response to them. Jenny’s theme is Dream of Home.

Jenny will be working in the Araluen visiting artist’s studio until October 29. All are welcome to visit the studio during these times, discuss the project and view work produced so far. Drawing materials will be available for anyone inspired to make pencil, ink and watercolour drawings about their own ‘Dream of home’.

Drawing and sculpture session
Thursday 26 October
7.:00 – 9:00pm

During this evening session, simple sculpture materials and drawing materials will be available for people to construct, model or draw the home they imagine or remember. People can also bring materials. There will be an opportunity for everyone to share their thoughts about ‘home’, and about the model home they have made.

Children are welcome, accompanied by an adult.

Numbers are limited for this session and bookings are required. Please RSVP to [email protected].
