Dying Matters – a one week pop-up art and discussion space
Palliative Care NT invites contributions of artwork, writing and meaningful objects for a short exhibition to bring death to life in ‘Dying Matters’, a one-week pop-up art and discussion space presented by Palliative Care NT (Alice Springs branch).
We are seeking:
• Artwork (any medium) or writing that you’ve created in response to your own experiences of grief and loss
• Objects that have inspired you to think about death and dying
Life is short – and so is our lead time for this event!
If you have a creative response to death matters, please be part of this pop-up space that will celebrate life, as well as death’s role in shaping it.
When: Thursday 8 to Wednesday 14 October from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm
Where: 63 Todd Mall (the former Don Thomas shop and Full Stop pop-up)
Preferred deadline for contributions: Tuesday 6 October
‘Dying Matters’ will include the NT’s inaugural Death Café event, art-making activities, and an opening night screening of the award-winning documentary Tender (Lynette Wallworth & Kath Shelper).
