Exhibition: ‘Panu’ – Lorna Fencer Naparrula
On Thursday 11th October Muk Muk Fine Art will open a retrospective exhibition of work by Indigenous artist Lorna Fencer Naparrula.
‘Panu’ is an exhibition showcasing Lorna’s diverse styles and interpretations of her dreaming stories or Jukurrpa. This body of work has been held in collection for approximately 10 years and many works have never been exhibited publically before.
As a senior custodian of several dreaming stories, Lorna portrayed stories associated with bush potato (Yala), caterpillar (Luju), kangaroo (Marlu), bush onion, tomato and plum through a language of symbols and expressive colour.
The exhibition will open at Muk Muk Fine Art Gallery, 14 Lindsay Ave on Thursday 11th of October and will run until Saturday 10th November.
