Fundraising Evening – Stand with us women & help us get to Canberra
The Tangentyere Women’s Family Safety Group (TWFSG) has been working for more than three years to reduce and prevent family violence. In July 2017, TWFSG led an ‘Aboriginal Women’s March Against Violence’ here in Alice Springs to make visible the experience of Aboriginal women, children and families who are living with, injured by or dying as a result of family violence, not only in Alice Springs but across the nation.
In 2018, the Tangentyere Women’s Family Safety Group want to take their message to our Nation’s Capital, Canberra and ask the Australian Government to commit to investing in Aboriginal Community led solutions for a future free from family and domestic violence.
But we cannot do this alone, we need your support!
The Tangentyere Women’s Family Safety Group invite you to a fundraising evening on Saturday 2nd December 2017 at Tangentyere Artists, 16 Fogarty Street, Alice Springs to help get us to Canberra.
On the night, an array of artworks created by artists from the TWFSG, as well as generous donations from local businesses will be auctioned off.
Musical entertainment, finger food & drinks will be provided.
Come along and support this important cause! We look forward to seeing you there.
