HERITAGE WEEK 2017

Journey to Horseshoe Bend – A talk and reading by John Strehlow.

Of all the early women pioneers omitted from official histories, Carl Strehlow’s wife Frieda Strehlow, nee Keysser, is the most glaring.

Frieda spent over a quarter of a century on the Australian frontier when life was dangerous, difficult and often short.

Join Frida’s grandson and author, John Strehlow as he shares stories of Frieda, his family and his hope of broadening our understanding of the past.

Morning tea and refreshments provided.
