Indigo Dyeing & Shibori Workshop with Philomena Hali

Shibori is the Japanese word for the art of shaped resist dyeing by using stitching, wrapping, capping, clamping, binding, folding, twisting, compressing. Indigo dyeing is special – it is only the dyer who sees the transformation of a fluorescent green colour oxidize to an Indigo blue.

Participants will learn Shibori and Indigo dyeing techniques and how to prepare and maintain an Indigo Vat.
