Looking for Turtles By Suzi Lyons
Floor Talk by Suzi Lyon: Saturday 18 Feb at 11.15am
I live in an inland desert. By November each year I dream of submerging deeply in cool clear water. I am longing for the sea and for moving running water. In my dreaming I look up, through shafts of sunlight
spearing downward. I see a giant turtle swimming far above me. I watch till it passes, disappearing into blend of light and water.
This work is about a longing and releasing into water.
