Natural Light Portraiture with Tamara Burlando

The Residency Arts Program is proud to present an opportunity to learn from artist and photographer Tamara Burlando whose self-published book ‘Papunya Smiles’ was launched at The Residency in November last year. The book provides a unique visual diary of contemporary community life in Papunya. An exhibition of selected photographs from the book are on display at The Residency* until March 24th.

Tamara holds degrees in both photography and sculpture, and her art practice, which developed mainly in Buenos Aires and Barcelona (where she lived for seven years) has seen her work exhibited internationally – in South America, Europe, Japan and Australia.

In this workshop, Tamara will share her technical expertise and passion for photography with participants to extend their knowledge and practice, using natural light.

Participants will need to bring their own camera (and tripod if they have one).

Participants need to have a good understanding of the camera’s settings. (People who can work with manual settings will take more advantage of the course )

Places are limited so please book early.
