Studio Manager at Tjungu Palya Art Centre
Tjungu Palya Arts Aboriginal Corporation is one of Australia’s most reputable Aboriginal Art Centres. Tjungu Palya is located in Nyapari Community on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands (APY Lands) South Australia. The Art Centre participates in a comprehensive visual arts program each year and we are seeking a passionate new Studio Manager to co-ordinate all aspects of our Art Studio.
Reporting to the Art Centre Manager, the Studio Manager will work closely with artists with the day-to-day operations of our Art Studio. The Studio Manager will support the artistic and social needs of our artists and Arts workers living in a remote Indigenous Community.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an energetic Arts Professional who would like to experience life in a spirited remote Indigenous community. This is a male identified position and he will need to be highly motivated and be able to work in small team. Respect and understanding of cross-cultural environments and an appreciation of contemporary Aboriginal art is also required.
This is a full-time contract position based in Nyapari community with an attractive remote area salary package.
Salary package for the position includes:
• 4 weeks annual leave plus four weeks toil
• Base Salary $58,000 – $68,000
• Free furnished accommodation including utilities
• Salary sacrifice benefits (capped)
• Annual leave airfare after 12 months service valued at $1000
• Relocation expenses up to $1000
