Sustainable Couture Opening Night Parade
Alice Springs annual sell out event “Sustainable Couture Opening Night Parade” is back for 2015 with its unique catwalk explosion of quirky and original fashions all designed & created from recycled fabrics and up cycled, pre-loved clothing.
This year’s theme “Out of the Shadows” will again showcase the ab-fab talents of locally inspired designers Philomena Hali, Julie Millerick, Margaret Johnson, Sarah Hill, Simone Guascoine, Carmel Ryan, Donna Nicholls, Franca Frederiksen, Sinead de Paor (Uluru) and interstate guests Kerri Lenehan (NSW) and Judi Bilki (VIC).
New to the event this year will be an after parade, on site marketplace, where guests can get up close and tactile with outfits hot off the runway. Fashionista guests are welcome to try on their favourites from the parade and should romance occur, then a marriage can be arranged between the desired outfit and your credit card. A chance to elope with your new love interest – what could be better?
Also new this year, Sustainable food and beverages will be available for purchase before and after the parade – on site from 5.30pm to 9.30pm so no rush to get home for dinner.
