The Advocate Art Award 2016

Presented by the Central Australian Art Society (CAAS), the annual Advocate Art Award is the major community-based exhibition in Central Australia, exhibiting works by established and new artists from Alice Springs and the surrounding region, working across all media. The Advocate Art Award encourages experimentation and provides an opportunity for artists to exhibit in the Araluen Arts Centre’s professional gallery setting, to gain public exposure and to generate income through the sale of their artworks. With generous sponsorship, the Award offers significant cash and professional development prizes, awarded across several categories. Enthusiastically supported by artists and the public, the 2016 Advocate Art Award will again be a vibrant reminder of Central Australia’s creative diversity and depth.
