The Package at Araluen Fri 13th Nov 2015 7pm ONE SHOW ONLY!

What if, on a lonely night, with death’s door creaking open, you received a mysterious package?

The Package is the NT’s haunting new theatre work. It’s a surreal and beautiful tale, journeying through the memories of a soulful old woman as she reaches the end of her life.

Combining puppetry, physical theatre, animation and mask, this dialogue-free performance is, by turns, dark, funny and—ultimately—uplifting.

The Package was conceived by Alice Springs artist, Katelnd Griffin. Collaborating with experienced performers, Kristy Schubert and Robbie Hoad, the ensemble co-devised this moving work.

It was a “highlight of the Alice Desert Festival 2014″. Now it’s back, with further development and new material.

Showing one night only.

• “deeply satisfying”
• “unique and captivating … skilfully and artfully performed and choreographed”
• “thought provoking and soulful storytelling”
• “The Package delivers on life’s big themes” (Kieran Finnane, Alice Springs News)
• “a touching tribute to life and memory” (Realtime Arts)

(Parental Guidance Recommended: contains simulated nudity).

Proudly supported by the Northern Territory Government, the Sidney Myer Fund, Red Hot Arts, Periphery Media and Friends of Araluen.
