The Pirates of Penzance

Gilbert and Sullivan’s new version of the Pirates of Penzance is a comical musical in two acts.

The story revolves around a young man, Fredric, who is meant to become an apprentice for a pilot.

Instead his doltish maid Ruth mistakenly sends him off to an apprenticeship for the great and powerful Pirate King, the leader of the not-so-fierce Pirates of Penzance.

When Ruth pleads with Frederick to take her with him, he agrees, but soon after meets the daughters of the Major General and falls head over heels in love with them.

However, something stirs up the story and he and his sense of duty as a pirate are stuck in the middle.
