YesterMorph: Digital Artists in ResidenceBuy tickets online now
Aged between 12 and 25 and interested in art, digital technology and storytelling?
Looking for something worthwhile to do over the Summer holidays?
Want to learn how to develop an art project, train other kids and host your own exhibition?
This summer we are giving a selected group of young people the opportunity to become Digital Artists In Residence (DAIRs) at the Library! DAIRS will learn how to tell stories using digital platforms and create magnificent artworks to be exhibited in 2018.
We’ll give you access to a heap of awesome old photographs, held within the Central Australian Historical Image Collection to digitally reimagine, manipulate and morph to your heart’s content.
You will have your own designated safe workspace within the library as well as access to digital devices and platforms, refreshments and professional assistance.
Come January, DAIRs will help facilitate a workshop to share new skills with other 12-25 year olds.
We’ll get your finished artworks printed in high-res, then host the launch of the YesterMorph Exhibition in the library with a whole heap of family, friends and art professionals in attendance.
This is an excellent opportunity for youth who want to develop artistic and storytelling ability over the summer (plus it looks GREAT on a resume!)
Register via http://www.aspl.evenbrite.com.au or pick an application form up from the library.
Applications must be received by 14 January 2018. Places are strictly limited.
