As part of the Darwin Symphony Orchestra’s Outreach and Education tour some of their finest players will be joining the AS World Chamber Orchestra for a joint venture in the Anglican Church. The WCO had been praised by local audiences not only for their cross over styles and genres but also for their flexibility in adding great depth to their diverse repertoire. With joint forces the ASWCO will be delighted to perform Barber’s Adagio, Sculthorpe’s Darwin Calypso and Reiner’s Fiddle Suite among others on the night. Come along and listen to the collaborative concert for the Alice Springs Community to strengthen future relationships between the DSO and the Alice Springs Community ahead of their potentially Symphonic Tour in 2020. A Collaboration between chamber musicians of the DSO and the ASWCO catalyses the process of dissipating the isolation between the two major musical and cultural centres of – classical – music in the NT.
