Incite Arts is a community-engaged arts organisation that works with young people, people with disability, Aboriginal communities and other diverse communities. Established in 1998, Incite Arts enriches the lives of all Central Australians through community-engaged arts practice that is accessible, inclusive and responsive.
Incite Arts delivers high-quality, accessible arts programs and productions with a diverse range of communities, with a focus on both those that are under-served and those who face barriers to arts engagement.

Expression of interest are now being accepted for voluntary positions of Directors.
As a director you will be motivated, well organized, self-directed and most importantly, community orientated. You’ll support and drive the company’s strategic direction, goals and objectives to have a real say in the future direction of arts in this vibrant community.
Incite is searching for new Board Members with relevant skills and experience in the key areas of fundraising and advocacy.
Board members provide leadership to the organisation including legal and governance requirements as well as support and advice to our highly skilled management and creative team. Board members also activate their networks in supporting and expanding the purpose and outputs of our organisation.

Currently there are 6 Board Members with a range of skills especially in the areas of arts and cultural sector management, marketing, financial and governance.
The time commitment required includes an induction session, attendance at Board meetings (which are held every 3 months). In between meetings there may be particular tasks or contacts to follow up.

No prior Board experience necessary. Induction, training and support is provided.

We are particularly interested in recruiting young members, or those who work in youth and community services. Also, very interested in diversity and encourage anyone who is part of a marginalised group to apply.
