Are you interested in supporting the local arts community in Alice Springs, and getting involved with a key local arts organisation?
The Red Hot Arts Central Australia board is currently seeking expressions of interests for two new general members and one treasurer to join the board!
Red Hot Arts Central Australia is a non-profit organisation that provides accessible spaces, workshops, support and events to facilitate, promote and build the capacity of arts and local artists. Red Hot Arts Central Australia is governed by a board with people with a range of skills and backgrounds, who are all passionate about the local community and the arts. Board member terms are three years in length.
The skills we are particularly looking for are:
- Corporate governance
- Strategic thinking
- Business development
- Change management.
The board meets once every month, but other time commitments can also be expected outside of these hours, such as volunteering at festivals and supporting organisational development process as required.
What you can expect from us:
- An induction to bring you up to speed with the board’s priorities and key information about the organisation.
- A supportive and inclusive organisation that welcomes a diversity of views and perspectives.
- An annual board review to gauge board members’ perceptions of how we’re performing as a team
- A flexible board setting where we can accommodate people’s lifestyles.
Expressions of interests should provide information on your relevant education, work and volunteering background, previous board experience (people who have not been on boards are also encouraged to apply, and will be supported in the role), and why you are interested in joining the board.
EOIs should be forwarded to the Chair of the board, Penelope McDonald via email@example.com. Please call 8952 2932 with any questions.
EOIs need to be submitted by COB 9 November 2021. To read more about Red Hot Arts Central Australia, head to our website at redhotarts.com.au
