Central Australian Women’s Fair

Working together, The Central Australian Women’s Legal Service Inc, the Women’s Museum of Australia, Multicultural Community Services of Central Australia, the Tangentyere Women’s Family Safety Group, NPY Women’s Council, Desert Knowledge Australia, SARC and the Women’s Safety Services of Central Australia, present an all-inclusive, safe and exciting event for our whole community to attend and celebrate women in Central Australia….

The ‘Central Australian Women’s Fair‘ will celebrate ALL Women in our community. The stories and experiences that our community hold is fascinating and something to be celebrated and acknowledged. The event will share various women’s diversity/social/political/and economic life experiences and reflect on issues such as gender inequality.

Entertainment, Guest Speakerrs, Music, Food, Stalls, Live Broadcast by 8CCC Community Radio + Activities for Kids (including a Jumping Castle) will all feature… in a prelude to International Women’s Day kicking off on Sunday 8 March 2020. The night will end with a special screening of the film, “She Who Must be Loved” — the life story of Alfreda Glynn, a 78-year-old Aboriginal woman and co-founder of the Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association.
