Eastern Arrernte Band album & Purple Patch EP launch I 8CCC & Desert Festival
Sun September 26 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm$15.00
Two albums launched at one event! Presented by Desert Festival 2021 and 8CCC Community Radio.
Get stuck into the local music scene and celebrate diversity of sound, genre and music.
The Eastern Arrernte Band are a group of young, desert reggae artists from Lyentye Apurte. Singing in both English and Eastern Arrernte, their songs revolve around place, country and social issues.
Purple Patch are four desert rats living in Mparntwe who have combined to create Central Australia’s own funkadelic-blues-rock phenomenon. Right off the back of their recent NT tour, these guys are keen to share a new level of sound with Patchworks Volume 2 – a deeper development of psychedelic blues and heaving rollicking desert funkiness.
Join us at 67 Bath Street to celebrate local music!
This event is part of Desert Festival 2021 and in partnership with 8CCC, proudly sponsored by the Northern Territory Government and Alice Springs Town Council.
