Barkly Regional Arts offers an exciting opportunity to be the Festival and Events Manager.

Barkly Regional Arts (BRA) is a multi-arts community arts organisation operating in very remote regional Australia and is the arts hub interface between arts and culture in the Barkly region.

Through our Festival and Events program Barkly Regional Arts provides platforms to showcase local talent and to present touring works of artistic excellence to the Barkly region.

This position is pivotal to promoting and presenting the positive stories from the Barkly region to stakeholders, funding bodies, regional communities, and the wider Territory, Australian and International audiences. You will uphold a high standard of excellence of presentation, and a recognisable, consistent and marketable BRA ‘badge’ to all events and the Desert Harmony Festival.

The successful applicant would have:

  •  experience developing high quality events and festivals
  • demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationship with government bodies, community groups and individuals
  • good organisational skills including the ability to plan and prioritise tasks and the ability to exercise initiative and work effectively with minimal supervision
  • ability to design and implement community engagement initiatives

OPPORTUNITY TYPE: Full Time

LOCATION: Regional Northern Territory Tennant Creek

PAY INFORMATION: $80,000 – $100,000

SALARY: SACS 6.1
