Australia’s leading arts and disability forum is coming to Alice Springs!
Meeting Place Forum is a disability-led professional development forum that engages arts and cultural leaders, arts workers, and artists with and without disability in an inclusive setting to discuss and debate the latest in arts, culture and disability.
Celebrating its regional location, the Forum will focus on local Aboriginal arts and culture, and local and Territory needs around inclusive arts. The program will include a mix of professional development workshops and artistic performances and exhibitions that showcase best practice in access to the arts.
The signature event of the peak national arts and disability advocacy body, Arts Access Australia, the 2018 Meeting Place Forum will be the sixth forum held since it’s establishment in 2012, and the first to be held in regional Australia. Previous locations include Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth and Berlin, Germany.
The Forum will be co-hosted by Incite Arts and delivered with the support of the Northern Territory Government, the Australia Council for the Arts and the Alice Springs Town Council.
