Men’s Development Coordinator (37.5 hours per week, 6 month contract renewable)

Start date: 10th January, 2022

Location: Papunya Community

The Men’s Development Coordinator oversees the Men’s art and cultural revival programs activities. He will work closely with the artists, directors, art centre manager and studio coordinator, as well as external stakeholders. He is responsible for the development of capacity within the local male artists and staff, contributing to the continuation of the artistic, social and financial growth of the organisation. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an Arts or related professional who would like to experience life and work in a remote Indigenous community.

Papunya Tjupi Arts is a 100% Aboriginal owned and directed community art centre based in Papunya, 250km NW of Mparntwe/Alice Springs. Papunya is the birthplace of the Western Desert dot-painting movement, Tjupi (honey ant) is local Tjukurrpa (Dreaming), arts is what we do.
