Printmaking and Drawing Classes at CDU

Join us to explore and experiment with a variety of drawing and printmaking techniques.

This course will run over two terms and provides an opportunity to experiment with a range of drawing and printmaking techniques to create a folio of work. You will be guided through processes of developing your drawing skills to communicate ideas, create plans and designs for printed work; and to create prints using a variety of printing techniques and materials. This course is suitable for people with existing drawing and/or art making experience. You do not need to have any specific experience with printmaking. This course is not suitable for complete beginners.

Wednesday nights 5.30 – 8.30pm

Dates:

Term 3 Wednesday 10 August to 14 September (with one full day Saturday class on 27 August)
Term 4 Wednesday 5 October to 09 November (with one full day Saturday class on 29 October)

Prospective students are encouraged to enroll in both terms; however, it is possible to enroll in Term 3 only with the option to decide if you want to continue into Term 4.

Cost:

Term 3 only: $315
Term 3 and Term 4: $665.00
*Fees are waived if you hold a current health care/centre link card

You will need to bring:
Visual diary, apron, dust mask, and covered shoes, any specialist drawing materials and papers you wish to work with

We will provide:
Basic drawing and print making materials, tools and paper
