Award-winning artist and author Rod Moss has lived in Central Australia since the early 1980s. He’s exhibited work in all Australian capital cities and in the USA and is represented in public galleries accordingly. The Hard Light Of Day, his first memoir, won the 2011 Prime Ministers award for non-fiction and in 2017 was published in New York.
Join esteemed Alice Springs-based musician, Bill Davis in conversation with fellow local Rod Moss as they launch Rod’s humourous graphic novella, Blue Moon Bay.
The Bay is troubled with environmental issues, largely caused by its citizens. We follow their efforts to survive and thrive.
Renowned nationally for his paintings of local town lives and award-winning memoirs, here, for the first time, Moss unites his writing and drawing gifts to burlesque effect.
Blue Moon Bay has been described by poet Tony Linterman as ‘…a gallery of flamboyantly grotesque characters. Their winding and poignant journeys always teeter on the edge of absurdity while remaining strangely moving, testament to the enormous affection with which they are drawn.’
