About the Exhibition
A thread between worlds, The Road invites inner observation and explores sensory unravelling as we move from urban environments to the transcendental expansiveness of ancient deserts.
Bringing together installation and multiple screen art, vast and limitless landscape invites viewers to surrender to the dance between day and night, dark and light and eventually give way to bliss and the immense power and spirit of nature.
Presented at the Crispe Street Art Shed, by Shez Cairney, Al Bethune, Ben McIntyre, Walbira Murray and Sylvia Azney.
Video artworks by Shez Cairney, Trevor Almeida and Kate Follington, with original music by Jody Galvin, Mung Balding and Rob McPherson (Garagee).
This exhibition will be on throughout the duration of Desert Festival.
Desert Festival 2021 has been made possible with the generous support of the Northern Territory Government and Alice Springs Town Council.
