CUACER201 Develop Ceramic Skills – this is an accredited unit from CUA20715 Certificate II in Visual Arts

In this 3 day workshop you will:

• Learn the basics of wheel throwing clay on the potters wheel, including wedging, centering clay and throwing simple cylinder and bowl forms
• Be introduced to the use of glazes and glazing techniques
• Learn about firing processes
• Understand Health and Safety requirements for working in the ceramics studio

This course is designed for beginners with no experience in clay, but would also be suitable for those with some experience who want to develop their throwing skills.

Cost: $175

Dates: Tuesday 12th, 19th and 26th of October 10am – 3pm

You will need to bring: 1 block of stoneware clay, Apron, dust mask and covered shoes

We will provide: All tools and equipment, glaze materials and kiln firing
