Stitching the Seasons Across our vast continent, seasons vary dramatically and are in a new state of change. Some of us see the four seasons: summer, autumn, winter and spring. In the tropics, as many as six seasons are recognised. Here in Central Australia, the Arrernte people have two seasons, Uterna (summer) and Athwerrpe (winter).
