Alice Springs Street Art Festival 2021!

The Alice Springs Street Art Festival is back on and ready to make its mark for 2021! Join our opening celebrations this Friday night at the Westpoint Carpark for TRUCK-IN, a local food truck party featuring live music, art, and further info on this year’s Street Art Festival.

With an upbeat and vibrant event schedule in place, the Alice Springs Street Art Festival (ASSAF) will run from July 23rd – August 8th!

The festival will see four of Australia’s top street artists team up with local creatives to paint six new murals across the CBD. The artworks will add a splash of vibrancy and life to the town centre while paying homage to the stunning Red Centre landscape and the local community.

Artists involved in this year’s festival include Kaff-eine (Vic), Gus Eagleton (Qld), Brontë Naylor (Qld), Miss Polly (Darwin) and local artists Tamara Cornthwaite, Karine Tremblay, Mark Circus and Kim Donald.

Murals will be painted at Alice Springs Hospital on Gap Road, the YHA on Leichhardt Terrace, the Alice Plaza underground carpark laneway near Hartley Street, Minerals House and House of Tallulah on Hartley Street, and the Red Hot Arts wall on Stott Terrace.

ASSAF also includes a week of street painting with DJs and pop-up activities through the CBD, an arthouse film screening, a mural reveal tour and Street Art Celebration Party TBA.

Red Hot Arts Central Australia General Manager Jeanette Shepherd is excited for festivities to start taking place.

“We are excited for the Alice Springs Street Art Festival to return, and look forward to all the creativity and colour the artists will bring to town,” she said.

This event is being organised by Red Hot Arts Central Australia, and is supported by the Northern Territory Government through Northern Territory Major Events Company.
