A $150,000 support package has been announced by the Northern Territory Government for members of the arts and culture sector adversely affected by the most recent COVID-19 restrictions.

Up to $1000 is available for individuals who were ineligible for the Territory Small Business Lockdown Payment program, and $4000 for organisations.

The Arts and Culture 2021 COVID-19 Interruption Support program provides quick-response grants to assist Territory artists, arts workers and arts organisations impacted by this week’s lockdown measures.

Funding will assist with losses – including income, venue hire, travel and accommodation – incurred by the cancellation of events. These include Darwin Fringe Festival shows, theatre productions, live music gigs, and arts and cultural workshops.

Grants are currently open and close at 2.00 pm Monday 2 August 2021.

Grant applications can be accessed here.

Applicants will receive notification within 10 working days.
