The Remote Mentoring Program is a professional development initiative that lifts the geographical barrier of working remotely by providing access to some of Australia’s leading companies and independent artists via room scale video conferencing equipment. Artists can choose a mentor relevant to their practice, then digitally engage with them in Red Hot Arts Studio, Workshop or Meeting Room.

In 2018/19, mentees accessed professionals from around the globe to support their practice. With great outcomes including class delivery, being supported to create new works and furthering their own artistic careers. Contact Arts Development.

Artist in Residency programs are hugely beneficial to artists and the development of their practice. It gives an artist focused time and space to experiment, research and develop without the pressure of a fixed outcome. For artists, being given the opportunity to foster their practice in their home is incredibly important to the identity of the work being created and celebrating the unique environment in which it’s made. It is also important for the artists to be able to share their findings with their peers and community, and also have local collaborations be made available to them.

The Bath St Residencies support artists by providing them with time, space, resources and funds to experiment, investigate and create work in a non-outcome imperative environment. In 2021, Red Hot Arts will host seven artists in residents at 67 Bath St.
