Founded in 1999, Red Hot Arts’ purpose was to develop the arts and cultural events sector. Initially through promotion of events and then in 2005 by offering services to incubate and capacity build other arts organisations, and in 2009 the merger intended to go even further.
16 years of planning and delivering arts and cultural events across art forms has created a legacy of tools focused on the needs of the sector. To further improve sector professionalism Red Hot Arts is investing locally in legal and insurance services to benefit of our members.
In partnership with the local office of Arthur J Gallagher, Members get free insurance advice and can apply to extend Red Hot Arts insurance to cover their events. Red Hot Arts itself will be protecting artists on commissioned events with cancellation cover.
Red Hot Arts is developing a suite of best practice contracts that are available to Members. Designed locally with Libertas Legal, referencing Arts Law and reviewed annually they are made to help protect artists, venues, producers and presenters.
