Since 1999 Red Hot Arts has promoted the arts and cultural experiences of Central Australia both locally and nationally. Starting as a newsletter, What’s On now includes print, website, social media, radio, paid advertising and starting in 2018 LED, digital signage and video.
We have a team that you can hire or as a paid member request assistance from if you want to improve your promotion or your skills in creating promotion. Our Communications Manager is skilled at helping people develop the skills to promote their own businesses and projects, if you want to hire or book some time get in contact. Our Graphic Designer can also be hired by members to help make their posters and other materials look great, or we can direct you to the right Alice Spring’s design professional for your needs.
The What’s Onpromotional service starts on the web, giving you an easy single location to enter your event’s details, links and ticketing. After that we broadcast your message across multiple channels, both expanding and strengthening your marketing campaign.
Red Hot Arts is Central Australia’s arts and culture guide. Designed for desktop and mobile your event will look great. For promoters, venues and organisations, register with the website to make it easier with more control, customisation and your own freedom to change dates or other details as required. If you need RSVP or ticketing services, add them when you create your event.

1000’s of cars a day make the corner of Bath St and Stott Tc. the premier location in Alice Springs to promote the region’s events. Foot traffic from The Ghan, Elkira, The Haven, to the Heritage Precinct, Reptile Centre and The Royal Flying Doctors are also engaged with posters and take away promotions.
Large Posters. Your event can be promoted here via large format posters. These cost $82.50, all you need to do is email our Administration Officer your A4/A3 digital file and we do the rest. We work closely with local provider ASPrint to print out posters, with a 3 day turn around, your poster can be displayed for up to 4 weeks.
LED Signs. Facing East and Southbound traffic stopped at the lights. Perfect for promoting this week, tonight, tickets on sale, road closures and other point in time information. Increases local awareness of events dramatically with glanceable information. Free in 2018, we estimate the cost for 2 weeks promotion to be $20 in 2019. We will have a downloadable template shortly, in the meantime contact our Graphic Designer for more information.
Window displays. Turn the building into a promotional surface. With 20sqm to play with you can show the experience of being at your event with photo collages, artwork and branding. The cost includes everything from print to removal. We work with local company TJ Signs to offer this great opportunity and you get the best address in Alice Springs. Priced at $110sqm contact our Communications Manager for specifications.
Events that are listed on redhotarts.com.au also get published to What’s On in Alice Springs group for easy discovery via search and with over 1300 active members. You can also make us a co-host of your event so that we can promote it easier. We use our Facebook page for industry content, this is where jobs and opps will be seen.
Weekly from Wednesday to Friday we also run paid video ads highlighting the events of the week. If you want to increase the reach of this video, you can contribute financially. Contact our Communications Manager to ask how.
Print and Radio
Red Hot Arts promote events live on ABC Drive every Friday afternoon and on 8CCC via a pre-recorded spot that plays on rotation every day. We also work with The Centralian Advocate to list the top events for the weekend in the Friday paper and write a weekly article on upcoming events and interesting information about the region’s incredible Arts and Cultural sector.
Weekly for 18 years now people in Central Australia have been receiving the What’s On Newsletter. Each Thursday the email service promotes and links direct to events and ticket sales. We also have a industry newsletter for promoting jobs and opportunities that you may have. Both are fed from the website, so get your content listed here for the widest reach in Central Australia.

Up next, we are transforming the way events in Central Australia can get their message out to the 1000’s of visitors a week that are unaware of all the incredible events and festivals. To achieve this we are rolling out a network of HD screens strategically located in key tourist spots, cafes and accommodation across Alice Springs.
These screens will display your poster direct to visitors, in sizes approximating A1 or A0. Extra information is also provided, to make it clear to the viewer if your event is on tonight, tomorrow or in the next few days. In this way, the 72hr visitor is informed of what matters most to them, what they can do right now.
Events and festivals will save money and time on distributing posters. Offer up to date information and finally get placement where messy poster walls are not acceptable, in the key tourist points.
In 2018 this service will be free, with a small fee of approximately $30 to cover the cost of on-going maintenance and administration in 2019.
