One of Alice Springs’ most iconic heritage buildings, The Residency was built in the late 1920’s to house the Government Resident of Central Australia during a brief period of legislative independence.
Today, the building is managed by Heritage Alice Springs in partnership with The Araluen Cultural Precinct and is open to the public weekdays (10am – 3pm) and on Todd Mall Market Sundays (10am – 2pm). At other times, The Residency may be hired for suitable events and functions.
