The Dirty Word is an open-mic spoken word poetry event running on the first Thursday of every month from April to September 2025. We want to hear your words - be inspired by your prose, whther you're a bush balladeer, a slam champ or a haiku heathen - we want to hear what you create.
The Dirty Word aims to be a safe and inclusive space for everyone, The Roastery is the perfect partner for accessibility and they even have food. Head in at 6pm for dinner and tunes and poetry starts at 7pm. Sign ups on the door, entry is a fiver or by donation - whatever you can is appreciated.
